This cutting-edge electric police truck combines the powerful capabilities of the Lightning pickup with law enforcement-specific interior features, ensuring top-notch performance and efficiency for our dedicated officers.
Elevated Law Enforcement Features
The Lightning Pro SSV is designed to equip law enforcement officers with everything they need to excel on the job. Key interior features include built-in steel intrusion plates in the front seatbacks, a reinforced instrument panel to handle police equipment, and police-grade heavy-duty cloth seats with reduced bolsters for easy ingress and egress. Additionally, officers can rely on the available red/blue and amber/white LED warning lights mounted on the roof for enhanced visibility during critical missions. The Lightning Pro SSV also boasts a sophisticated interior with a 12-inch digital cluster and a 12-inch touchscreen for an intuitive driving experience.

The Ford F-150 Lightning Pro SSV comes with a staggering 452 horsepower and 775 pound-ft of torque, capable of towing up to 7,700 pounds and accommodating a maximum payload of 2,235 pounds with the standard battery. But that’s not all – municipalities can opt for the extended-range battery, offering a remarkable 580 horsepower, 775 pounds-ft of torque, and an impressive 10,000 pound towing capacity. Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in under four seconds, these electric police trucks mean business. In addition, the Lightning SSV truck is loaded with Ford Pro’s suite of tools, software, and services to help law enforcement stay connected and in-touch for the benefit of their communities.
First to Serve, First to Lead
The revolution has already begun! The Claremont, New Hampshire Police Department recently put one of the nation’s first Ford Lightning Pro SSV electric police trucks into service. We applaud Ford of Claremont, a local dealership, for their generous donation of the Lightning Pro SSV, complete with charging infrastructure and emergency lighting. This remarkable donation comes from Christian Gomes, the dealer principal, a former NYPD police officer, marking his fourth vehicle donated. Municipalities can expect order-to-delivery timing as early as three months if they place their orders now.
